Neda Arneric Nude

Considered a sex symbol of Yugoslav cinema, Neda Arneric’s most known role (at least to American movie goers) is as Jazar, the woman who seduces Richard Roundtree’s bad-ass John Shaft in the Blaxploitation classic Shaft in Africa (1973). Neda’s seductress character entices and shares some much-needed lovin’ with the butt-kicking detective and in doing so, shows off just about every inch of her bangin’ body in the process—including a brief flash of bush in the mirror (Mr. Skin uses his Skin Vision to do a double take for you; he’s a true bud like that). While the actress did have a few Italian films, as well as a couple of French ones, the bulk of her work was done in Yugoslavia, or the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, or Serbia—depending on when the movie or TV show was released. In fact, nubile Neda has quite the impressive on-screen resume, with over 120 titles, not to mention dozens of stage roles. A few big-screen notables: The Legend of Spider Forest (1971), aka Venom, as Anna; Stand Up Straight, Delfina (1977) as the titled Delfina; Miada in Who’s Singin’ Over There? (1980); in Aloa: Festivity of the Whores (1988) as Maira; in Three Tickets to Hollywood (1993) as Natalija; and as Glumica in He Ain’t Like That (2010). On television, she had series leading roles as Miroslava Lepsanovice in Metla bez drske (Broom Without Handle) from 1989-1993, Natalija in Policajac sa Petlovog brda (Policeman from Petlovog) in 1993-1994, from 2008-2009 as Vesna in Bitter Fruit, and as Dr. Sanja Popic in the ever-popular Our Little Clinic – Serbia from 2007-2011. In 2010, the accomplished actress received the Pavle Vuisic Life Achievement Award for her contributions to cinema in Yugoslavia and Serbia. Neda died in January 2020 at the age of 66.
