Margaret Markov showed a genius for appearing in 1970s sexploitation classics as an enslaved woman attempting to escape her confining circumstances while also escaping the confines of her clothes. Although she initially played slightly off character in the biker pic Run, Angel, Run (1969) and in the Rock Hudson farce Pretty Maids All in a Row (1971), Margaret found her footing in The Hot Box (1972). As a nurse leading a revolt of women imprisoned in a steamy jungle, Margaret let her melons do much of the emoting for her, as did most of her cast mates. Mammerific Markov hit her enslaved stride in Black Mama, White Mama (1972), spending almost the entire movie tits out and chained to African American boobular icon Pam Grier, also tits out. The two temptresses tussled topless until they learned to get along, bringing a smile to the faces of all witnesses.
