In the supernatural horror film Miner’s Massacre (2002), a ghostly figure plays games with the frayed nerves of teenage treasure hunters. Vernon Wells stars as the animated corpse of a dead miner who guards his abandoned shaft with his blood-splattered hook, axe, and shovel. When the kids stumble upon the precious trove, the vengeful ex-49er refuses to let them leave. Because every slasher movie needs a beautiful blonde victim, Elina Madison shows up for a quick screw in the woods before the miner’s axe falls.
