Biography
Marjorie Cameron was an artist, an occultist, an actress and also married to rocket pioneer and fellow occultist Jack Parsons. She was born in Iowa, volunteered for service in the U.S. Navy during World War II and settled in Pasadena after the war. She was so ahead of her time that in Kenneth Anger’s film Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome (1954) she looks like a contemporary freak. She plays the Scarlet Woman and she plays it topless, with her magical mam hanging out from her outfit. She died in 1995 at the age of 73, having done more in her one life than a dozen others in their lives.
