Despite a turn as a sexy singer in Hot Tomorrows (1977), Marie-Pascale Elfman remains known for only one movie--but what a movie! Forbidden Zone (1980) is a cultish collision between cheap musical production numbers and a patchwork plot about Venice, California, hillbillies touring the Sixth Dimension. Marie-Pascale plays a visiting wild gal who’s thrilled to get out of the house. However, she doesn’t know she’ll end up in a love triangle with diminutive king Hervé Villechaize and his bizarre queen, Susan Tyrrell. The film takes a quirky detour into softcore S/M as Marie-Pascale gets her mammaries pulled by her hysterical highness. Otherwise, it’s all good, clean fun.
