Big geeko Richard Grieco gets his chance to be a cool karate-chopping baddy when a wealthy businessman hires him to kill his mistress Susan (Maggie Q) in Manhattan Midnight (2001). Things start looking up for the up-start assassin when, after trailing Susan to her New York apartment, fate traps the two together in an elevator. Rich executes the contract, only to feel guilty for spilling her guts shortly after. When he finds out that he accidentally offed Susan’s identical sibling, he sets out to restore his karma by protecting Susan from the inevitable fatal bruising by another hit man.
