Libby Tanner was born Elizabeth Tanner in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Growing up she had no ambitions of becoming an actress, but her high school art teacher pushed her towards it. As a result, she studied performing arts at Victoria's Ballarat University, graduating in 1993. Thank god for that teacher, as Libby has appeared in over 25 films and TV shows since making her debut on the Australian crime series Bony in 1992. Her other boob tube credits include Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Breaking News, Snowy River: The McGregor Saga, Pacific Drive, All Saints, Stingers, Fireflies, Headland, Rush, Rescue Special Ops, Mrs Biggs, Nowhere Boys, Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries, Fisk, and Back to the Rafters. As for movies, Libby acted in the made-for-TV drama Fireflies (2004), the made-for-TV crime-drama BlackJack: At the Gates (2006), the drama short Little Wings (2008), the made-for-TV sci-fi-thriller Scorched (2008), the drama short These Empty Streets (2011), the drama feature The Turning (2013), and the fantasy feature Nowhere Boys: The Book of Shadows (2016). Her most skinsational showing to date was in the erotic drama film Life (1996) where she played Jane and appeared topless on a bed!
