Review
Les Marmottes (1993) is a small melodrama focused on a Parisian family and their various domestic problems. At turns weepy and uplifting, the movie moves from utter despair to a light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel mood fairly quickly. Great performances all around highlight this quiet little gem. Ignore the crying jag and feast your eyes on the sublime figure of Marie Trintignant as she throws open the balcony window and walks out buck naked, boobs and beaver in full view.
