Latin Lover (2015)

Latin Lover (2015) is writer-director Cristina Comencini’s ensemble comedy and ode to Italian cinema's neorealism period. It centers around a fictional film Idol Saverio Crispo (Francesco Scianna) whose death ten years ago inspires the many women of his life to come together for a reunion. Among the guests are his several widows and the daughters they had together. One such lady is the lovely Pihla Vitala, playing his Sweedish daughter. She has a fantastic scene where she shows everything while looking at her own naked body in the mirror. We see Pihla's fun bags and furry patch as she scans her skin and puts a picture of her late pops in front of her head. Then her self examination is cut short by a man walking in the room, causing her to turn around and offer us a glimpse of her fanny in the mirror. It may inspire nostalgia for Italian films of old, but it's Pihla whose truly worth remembering.
