Based on a version of Lady Chatterley's Lover, the 1928 D.H. Lawrence novel that whipped polite society into a panic with its porno and pottymouthery, Lady Chatterley (2006) is, fittingly, "the most frankly sensual movie in memory" (according to the sensuality experts at notorious sex rag Los Angeles Times). Lady Chatterley is Marina Hands, a handsome woman who wants to get her mitts on a man other than the one she's married to. Oh, he's a nice gent, really, a nobleman, older-man sort, paralyzed from the waist down, frosty rather than fond. Why ever would she cheat? There's a good answer to that question, and his name is Jean-Louis Coullo'ch: grounds keeper, cook, and all-around strapping young lad. Before long, Jean-Louis has his hands all over Ms. Hands, and Ms. Hands wants her hands on his long Coullo'ch. But the rest of Marina's upright, uptight society is about to find out. What happens when all the society hens start chatting about Lady Chatterley?
