The mix of comedy and horror is a difficult one, but thanks to the added spice of Victoria Smurfit The Last Great Wilderness (2002) goes down nice and sleazy. The story concerns two losers, one tracking down the pop star who slept with his wife and the other a gigolo whom the mob wants to castrate because of his affair with one of their women. They end up in worse trouble at some mysterious mansion filled with freaks like Louise Irwin, a very vocal nymphomaniac with the body to make her illness a pleasure. But it’s the reserved Victoria who delivers the skin in a couple of shadowy couplings. There’s nothing funny about that, though it is scary that her boobs are in the dark.
