La Revanche (1981)

A pair of restless French wives plots revenge on their irksome husbands in the devilish black comedy La Revanche (1981). Jeanne Jouvert (Annie Girardot) is a best-selling author whose cad of a husband doesn’t respect the difficulty of her craft. Anne Beaufort (Dominique Labourier) is a socially conscious activist who can’t believe that her betrothed sells weapons to militaristic third world dictators. Independently all they can do is whine, but together the women cook up a recipe for revenge. Sadly their vengeance doesn’t involve nudity, but supporting star Catherine Alric covers in that regard--by uncovering, of course.
