La gatta da pelare (1981)

Some fantasies are better kept to oneself, especially those homicidal ones that are directed at individuals with whom one has a disturbing history of conflict and irresolution. If one must express one's murderous ideation, one should take care to confine communication of these imagined notions of vicious killing to one's dog or priest. Do not do as is done by the cartoonist protagonist of La Gatta da pelare (1987) and render in lavish and cruel detail the demise of one's nemesis. Otherwise, when some other fatally disturbed brute comes along and enacts one's darkest, direst dreams, and one's cartoon account of the killing falls into the hands of investigating authorities, one will be hard-pressed to fabricate an alibi and will be wishing that one's predicament was only a movie, such as La Gatta da pelare.
