The trio of male leads who dabble in lust and are ensnared by the Knots (2004) of love break that gyno-centric mold. Women, as can be expected, occupy a place of primacy in the thoughts, ambitions, actions, schemes, and conquests of these three pally dudes. In fact, the cloven gender may be interpreted as controlling the film’s three-headed hero, keeping the boys in line with strategic tugs upon the strings of their libidos. Knots turns out to be something of a chick flick after all, but with unexpected twists of testosterone.
