Born in Yokohama, Japan in 1932, the classically beautiful Keiko Kishi broke into acting at the age of 19, and has been an internationally recognized talent ever since. Although she’s appeared in films as recently as 2009, her most active period was from the early 1950s through the late 1970s, during which she worked with masterful Japanese directors like Yasujiro Ozu, Mikio Naruse, and Kon Ichikawa, along with American craftsman Sydney Pollack in the Japan-set neo-noir cult film The Yakuza (1974). Our favorite creative partnership of Kishi’s, though, is with Masaki Kobayashi, which produced, most famously, Kwaidan (1964), a creepy anthology horror film based on Japanese folk tales that found Keiko giving us a peek-o of her lovely breasts—a comforting sight indeed!—which are clearly anything but mythical. Her male costar kisses the perfect pair before resting his head on them, as the audience grows jealous, among other things. It may have been the one and only time that we got to see Keiko's teats, but this hottie continued to work with regularly in showbiz for decades. Her most recent work can be found on the boob tube in shows like Suekko Chounan Ane Sannin, AIBOU: Tokyo Detective Duo, 99-nen no ai: Japanese Americans, and Pan to supu to neko biyori.
