Boasting outer and inner beauty as well as a know-how attitude, it appears there’s nothing comely Karen Duffy can’t do. The former Coney Island Mermaid Queen has successfully tackled writing, modeling, movies (Malcolm X, Last Action Hero, Meet Wally Sparks) and the boob tube (TV Nation, The Awful Truth, Pepper Ann). Did we mention she’s also a certified hospital chaplain? After being named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1993, the MTV VJ was diagnosed with a rare disease in 1995 which left her partially paralyzed. But the foxy fighter refused to suffer in obscurity so she released a book revealing her ordeal—“Model Patient: My Life as an Incurable Wise-Ass”—in 2001. During the 1990s, the hardworking hottie sizzled as a spokesmodel for Revlon cosmetics and lit up the silver screen by lending her sexy presence to many motion pictures. In 1993, the pretty performer popped up in the romantic dramedy Reality Bites and the slapstick comedy Dumb and Dumber. Since then, Karen could be seen in the Woody Allen rom-com Celebrity (1998) and heard in the Wes Anderson stop-motion animated film Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009). Yet here at Skin Central, we’re partial to Karen’s revealing role in Memory Run (1996) since we assumed it marked her nude movie debut! But instead of seeing Ms. Duffy in the buff, the naked T&A on display really belonged to a body double. In other words, Mr. Skin unfortunately unearthed the one thing Karen can’t do — and that’s a nude scene.
