What happens if an actress devotes her career to horror films? Does this automatically entitle her to Scream Queen status if she’s not a household name? Perhaps, instead, she should be dubbed a Duchess of Distress or Countess of Cult Classics or Baroness of B Pictures. When it comes to the risqué resumé of Janus Blythe, any of these majestic monikers apply. Also known as Janis Lynn and Janis Eve Lynn, the brunette beauty made her scary movie debut in The Centerfold Girls (1974). Despite what the title may suggest, she didn’t flash any flesh. Nor did she expose her goods as a groupie in the fantasy Phantom of the Paradise (1974). Fortunately, Janus finally came clean (or is it dirty?) when she was cast in Eaten Alive (1977). The R rated slasher pic goes under many different titles (Brutes And Savages, Starlight Slaughter, Murder on the Bayou, Horror Hotel, Horror House Hotel, Legend of the Bayou, Death Trap), each of which features Carolyn Jones, Crystin Sinclaire, and Ms. Blythe’s bouncing boobs! When she wasn’t jiggling in a tight white T-shirt, the panty-clad cutie was revealing her meaty rack. Bone appétit! Next up for Janus was The Hills Have Eyes (1977). That may be true but they didn’t get to view her naked hills. Although Jan appeared in the chiller dillers The Incredible Melting Man (1977) and The Hills Have Eyes II (1985), she wouldn’t shed her threads ever again (at least, onscreen). Perhaps her title should be the Princess of Tease!
