I'm Your Man (2021)

Actress turned director Maria Schrader has much different sensibilities from the rest of the movie making crowd in this day and age and her latest film I'm Your Man (2021) proves that pretty conclusively. The film, based on a short story by Emma Braslavsky, focuses on an archaeologist named Alma (Maren Eggert) who is running out of funding for her new experiment and is desperate to secure additional funds to complete the crucial research she has left. Having maxed out nearly all other avenues by which she might have secured such funding, she is presented with a unique opportunity to take part in a completely separate research project which, when completed, would give her all the money she would need to finish her own work. She goes to meet with the project coordinator (Toni Erdmann's Sandra Hüller) who in turn introduces her to Tom (Dan Stevens), the seemingly perfect man. Before long, it's revealed that Tom is an advanced android who has been programmed to meet all of Alma's specific needs as a single woman and she needs to spend the next three weeks in his company, seeing if he does indeed do just as advertised. As one can imagine, having someone designed to meet all of your specific needs might be too good to be true and complications are bound to arise. Speaking of rising, you're sure to get it up at the sight of Maren Eggert topless during a sex scene with Stevens just past the hour and twenty three minute mark! When it comes to skin, I'm Your Man might just be Your Movie!
