Movie stars are just like the rest of us, except that when their lives fall apart, the ensuing drama and disaster are ripe for a compelling cinema adaptation along the lines of I Love Your Work (2003). A male actor has reached the zenith of his profession. Producers and directors court him. The world’s most brilliant sycophants suck up to him. His wife is hot enough to be the face of a high-end cosmetics line. But in his soul a dark obsession grows. Doubts and regrets mate deep within and beget a madness that threatens to eat him from the inside out to the surface. For every good thing this matinee hero gets, he feels that he has become someone a little less than the man he was to begin with. Can he stop the slide before he lands at nowhere?
