Why Girls5eva, you might ask?  Because Five is one more than Four-ever and this 90s girl-group is going to be young, beautiful, and famous five-ever!  Smash cut to 20 years later and not only is the band not even together, the most talented one who wrote all their songs, Dawn (Sara Bareilles), is working in a restaurant; The "Beyoncé" of the group, Wickie (Reneé Elise Goldsberry) is pretending to be more rich than she really is on social media; The ditzy blonde Summer (Busy Philipps) is splitting her time between the Hustler Club and selling incontinence focused Spanx online; The "sporty" Gloria (Paula Pell/Erika Henningsen) works in a dental office; and Ashley (Ashley Park) is straight up dead!  So when a young rapper takes a sample of their most famous song and turns his track into a #1 hit, this one-hit wonder girl-group is put back into the spotlight a bit for the first time in close to two decades!  So "make hay while the sun shines" right?  Well, these beautiful 40 somethings now need to brush the dust off of their vocal chords to try to get a little bit more money because their most recent monthly royalty checks from Girls5eva's hay-day are coming in at around $300 each.  Can they rise back to glory or will their in-band fighting, rusty talent, and out of touch knowledge of the music industry stop this comeback before it even gets off the ground?  Another hilarious series from the genius Meredith Scardino that brought us Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Mr. Mayor that hits you right in your 90s nostalgia and your Zubaz can't protect you!
