Coming from the genius mind of none other than Terry Pratchett and his "Discworld" series of books, we get a lovely blend of pretty much everything on this 2021 series, The Watch.  This comedy/fantasy series picks up on "Discworld", which is a flat planet that rides on the back of four elephants that in turn stand on the back of a giant tortoise, focusing specifically on the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, aka The Watch, which are basically mystical cops in this fantasy land.  Imagine it like Law & Order or CSI or any other police procedural, but with a non-stop barrage of references to mythology, folklore, fairy tales and call backs to every literary mind in history like Lovecraft, Shakespeare, and/or Tolkien.  There are fairies, orcs, hard nosed detectives, trolls, thieves running amuck, and at the center of it all is a drunken police commander Sam Vimes (Richard Dormer), who tries his best to put together a rag-tag team of like minded people/creatures to help him shut down the weekly crimes that come their way and threaten the very fabric of this universe at times!  Definitely buckle up for something that is going to hit on every fantasy nerve you have in your body and is likely going to make you queazy, happy, and horny at various moments while watching!  Keep an eye out for Sam Vimes' second in command, Corporal Angua (Marama Corlett), who gives us some tasty side and under boobage in an episode while waking up behind a dumpster.  It's enough to make you believe we are all living on a disc on the back of some great creature somewhere in space!
