When Famke Janssen turned twenty, she tired of strutting her fine stuff on the runway and gave up the sexy world of professional modeling to pursue literature at Columbia University. How studying Lady Chatterly's Lover helped the tall torch of a brunette land her role as James Bond's thigh-crushing nemesis in Goldeneye (1995) is anybody's guess, but give the Dutch dame credit for sporting brains as well as Hanes. After a few minor acting gigs, her breakout came when she starred in a pair of flicks opposite Kenneth Branagh: Woody Allen's Celebrity (1998) and Robert Altman's Gingerbread Man (1998). Next, she landed a role in the remake of House on Haunted Hill (1999) and finally starred as a good guy as one of the mutating models in X-Men (2000) and its sequel. While Famke has yet to slip off her size eleven shoes and expose her hidden talents, she did get frisky in the Clive Barker horror flick Lord of Illusions (1995), in which she enjoyed a quantum leap with Scott Bacula. Now if only Famke could shuck the illusions and become the true lord of lust.
