A north German farmer and a Hamburg hooker are drawn together under unusual circumstances in the dark German comedy Dumm gelaufen (1997). Soil-tilling Thorsten (Bernd Michael Lade) and purse-swinging Sabrina (Christiane Paul) have little in common except the need to dispose of a corpse. Once they team up, the odd couple embarks on a zany adventure that has them dodging overzealous cops, mob enforcers, and itchy-fingered hunters as they work to get their bodies in the ground. Christiane plays her part convincingly throughout, dropping her top to please the customers. Supporting actress Maria von Bismarck also pops in to offer some red-light-district flavor.
