Schlock skinema provocateur Jesús Franco (aka Jess Franco and Clifford Brown) brings his patented gore, sex, and insanity formula to the cannibal adventure Devil Hunter (1980). Also known as The Man Hunter, Jungfrau unter Kannibalen, Mandingo Manhunter and Sexo Caníbal, this splatter pic was banned in England during the 1980s. Although the chiller diller wasn’t seen by the Brits back then, its since merited a huge release in Mr. Skin’s jeans! Yes, Yanks in the States can yank over this risqué flick — especially when Muriel Montossé bares her breasts, bush and butt on a yacht. That’ll hoist your sail! Of course, the main plot centers around blonde babe Laura Crawford (Ursula Buchfellner, aka Ursula Fellner) who is first dragged to the jungle by white kidnappers and then seized by dark-skinned natives. As such, the damsel in distress is out of dress which means we get to see her go full frontal over and over and over again! After the Teutonic beauty is threatened by the locals’ bug-eyed, human-eating demon god, Vietnam vet Al Cliver (Peter Weston) stomps ass to rescue her. But not before the Cannibal Priestess (Aline Mess, aka Lynn Mess) reveals her three Bs while dancing around. Suffice it to say, she puts the motion into this motion picture! Even though this dubbed sexploitation fright-fest was a critical miss, it’s sure to be a hit in your spank bank. In other words, who needs fleshed-out characters when the comely cast is ready, willing and able to flash their flesh?!
