Der Mann von nebenan (2002)

A pro athlete tries to leave the bustle of her busy life behind by moving to the pastoral German countryside in the quirky thriller Der Mann von nebenan (2002). After a life at the races, Kate Moor (Lisa Martinek) tries to forge an idyllic existence by living in the country and whittling wooden flutes. Most of her neighbors seem amenable to her admittedly weird aims, but the creepy Willi (Axel Milberg) won’t leave well enough alone. As Kate seeks out info about this menacing voyeur, she learns a number of strange secrets about the town where she’s relocated. She also learns to keep up her guard, something she’s proven herself to be pretty bad at as she flashes her curvaceous bod to any opportunist there to sneak a peek.
