Making her cinematic debut as Mimi Simkins in the movie Bio-Dome (1996), opposite Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin, Dara Tomanovich had nowhere to go but up. The Toronto babe followed with Back in Business (1997) as Natalie Walker (still going up), then landed the part of Veronica Dow in Amnesia (1997), starring Sally Kirkland—higher up not only because of her legendary co-star, but because this is where her nakedity is strongest. She toys and teases in hot lingerie, then goes fully nude to share her side-butt, full boobs, and an arched back (it’s a sex scene). The hot brunette only appeared in two more feature films, as Bender’s Wife/Stevie’s Mom in Pups (1999) with Mischa Barton and Burt Reynolds, then as a beautiful woman in Being Flynn (2012)—with her best co-stars yet, Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore (patience pays off, Grasshopper). It’s no wonder Dara was cast as a beautiful girl—the knockout started out as model, discovered by none other than Karl Lagerfeld, who cast her as the lead model for his fashion house, Chloe, when she was just 18. Making the transition to acting after a successful turn in print on the runway, she also grabbed several little parts in television series, and popped up on primetime in Gun and Highlander in 1997, Mortal Kombat: Conquest and Just Shoot Me! in 1998, Diagnosis Murder and The Practice in 1999, Nash Bridges and Secret Agent Man in 2000, and Family Affair in 2002. Dara has also appeared in commercials for Pond’s, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Head & Shoulders. She can rest her head on Mr. Skin’s shoulder anytime she wants!
