Corrupted Minds (2006)

Alternately titled Detroit, Brian Lawrence’s Corrupted Minds (2006) is a twisted bout of Motor City mayhem. Set in a crime- and vice-ridden borough of modern Detroit, Lawrence’s film is a series of vignettes about hard-nosed denizens trying to eek out an existence while bullets whiz by around them. With thugs pounding the pavement outside their doors, the citizens of Lawrence’s neo-noir city frequently find solace in the bedroom. That’s the prescription, anyway, for Hope James, Aida Munoz, Candace Posluszny, Kristina Spotts, and Eva Wilson, all of whom shed their threads for bouts of freaky sex punctuated by police sirens.
