The mid-80s were all about fluffy hair, big shoulders, peppy and poppy music, and, yay for all us, cheesy flicks that featured gratuitous nudity, like what Cindy Beal offered up on two solid occasions. On the way to the movies, audiences were listening to Belinda Carlisle, Madonna, Bananarama, and Janet Jackson; and when they got there, they paid about four bucks to get in. In the dark, they saw the romantic comedy My Chauffeur (1986), starring the cute blonde girl from Valley Girl, Deborah Foreman, and WKRP in Cincinnati’s Howard Hesseman. It also featured willowy blonde Cindy, playing a character named Beebop (not unusual for the ‘80s). Dressed in pearls and a black lacy lingerie thing that’s barely hanging on by a spaghetti strap, the starlet shared her charming chest with tiny, puffy areolas, tangled up in a bed filled with limbs and her feet up against a Union Jack flag. On the next trip to the theater, this one probably at the $1.50 second-run discount showing, movie-goers were treated to the campy Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity (1987), starring no one you will probably remember, and the sexy Cindy, once more showing off the top half of her goods in and out of bikini tops and bras, both on purpose and accidentally. While the movies kept playing, along with The Bangles’ “Walk Like An Egyptian,” Cindy did not, only earning one more acting credit, as the voice of Nezi in the animated series Dragon Ball GT in 1996, with a solo reprise in 2002. And on that note, Mr. Skin ends with a battle cry—long live the ‘80s!
