Ready? Chulpan Khamatova was born in Kazan, Tatar ASSR, RSFSR, USSR, now Tatarstan, Russia. In 2006, she proved she could conquer both television and the movies, and earned two Golden Eagle Award nominations (like an Oscar), one for Best Television Actress for her role as Lara in Docktor Zhivago, and one nomination—which turned into a win—for Best Supporting Actress for the part of Ursula in Mnogotochie, aka Ellipsis. Chulpan has actually won a total of 9 different awards, and has racked up 17 nominations over the course of her career. These do not, however, include Mr. Skin’s Great Nudity! kudos for her naked scenes as Eva in Tuvalu (1999), Lara in Good Bye, Lenin! (2003), Silvija in The Whore’s Son(2004), and Liza in Sindrom Petrushki (2015).
