Review

They didn’t call Charlie Chaplin "The Little Tramp" for nothing! The noted silent-screen comic was a notorious seducer and connoisseur of young female flesh, and some of that overwhelming interest in all things distaff and naked has rubbed off on the Richard Attenborough-directed biopic Chaplin (1992). This one follows an elderly Charlie as he tells the story of his life to a biographer. We watch as young Charlie grows up in London, mostly by himself since his mom ends up in an insane asylum. Making his way as a stage performer, Irish dancer Hetty Kelly (Moira Kelly) rejects him for being a nobody when he tries to marry her, which motivates him to head to America and become a big star. From fighting with the FBI and getting hated on for not fighting in World War One, all the way to ending up as a victim of the McCarthy era, we get the full view of the life and times of the City Lights (1931), Modern Times (1936) and The Great Dictator (1940) star. Aside from an Oscar-nominated performance by Robert Downey Jr. as the quirky and obsessive comedian, Chaplin features an inordinate amount of skinterest for a picture rated PG-13. Kids of all ages can grin and bare it over Moira Kelly’s toplessness, as she gets caught changing backstage during a play. As her jugs jiggle, you'll definitely want to play with them! But you'll also understand how wanting to wife up a total Betty like Hetty can motivate a man into superstardom. But that's not all the skin your little chap can enjoy! There's also a quick look at Diane Lane's dazzling chest, with her briefly flashing funbags as she lies in bed and her sheet slips under her boobs. Charlie was a silent film star, but we can't stop talking about how good the nudity in Chaplin was!
