Bright Hill Road (2020)

Protagonist Marcy (Siobhan Williams) is not doing too well when we meet her at the beginning of the thriller Bright Hill Road (2020). She has lapsed back into alcoholism following a shooting at her work place and she upsets the already delicate balance at her place of employment after the incident by making insensitive comments. With little recourse, her employer puts her on leave in hopes that she can get her life back on track, but Marcy is a magnet for trouble and it seems to follow her wherever she goes. She accepts an invitation from her sister to come and stay with her family in California for a few weeks, but Marcy must first complete an employer mandated stay at an addiction facility called Bright Hill Road. At first, it seems as though the radical recovery system they offer may indeed be the key to her succeeding at getting her demons under control, but things take a sharp left turn and Marcy begins to feel like this was all a trap to lure her into a feeling of security, only to finish her off for good. Can Marcy get out of her own head long enough to actually squash her addiction issues, or is this the end of the road for her troubled life? Though the film has some sexy scenes, there's no nudity in the film itself. We do get some sexy shots of Siobhan Williams in her bra as well as having sex with a guy just past the hour and seventeen minute mark, but it turns out those are the only Bright spots on this Road!
