Review
Get a glimpse into Jack Kerouac's private world in Big Sur (2013). By the early 1960s, Kerouac (played here by Jean-Marc Barr), although successful in the literary world, was beginning to question his "beatnik" persona and drug- and alcohol-fueled lifestyle. So he retreated to an isolated Northern California cabin owned by his friend, Beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti (Anthony Edwards), for three fateful weeks of self-reflection. Kate Bosworth co-stars as Kerouac's lover Billie, and she'll make you a member of the Beat-off generation when she bares her bongos at the 44- and 52-minute marks. Big Sur will put a redwood in your pants!
