Bedways (2010)

Flesh fans will be jerking off every which way while watching Bedways (2010) directed by Germany’s erotically-charged auteur Rolf Kahl, who previously made the short films White Wedding (2005) and Nude Women (2006). With this feature-length flick, we get to see a film within a film as obsessive director Nina Bader (Miriam Mayet) explores new avenues of skinema. She casts hot young actors Marie Traunstein (Lana Cooper) and Hans Alexander Dahn (Matthias Faust) to depict a couple copulating. Fortunately, this involves lots and lots of practice, and the cast and crew begin the hard work of pushing their sexual boundaries. But as rehearsals keep pounding away, the question comes up: does Nina plan to ever shoot this movie? Or is her quest for porn perfection just a scheme she concockted to make new boning buddies? Either way, Mr. Skin approves! In fact, he’d applaud if his hands weren’t already busy elsewhere. Bedways displays a level of sexual honesty and explicitness that is rare, even in the liberated world of European art cinema. You’ll have your pick of pulling material here, with both ladies repeatedly revealing their boobs, pubes, and buns. Even rarer are the scenes that include un-simulated sex — from Ms. Mayet stroking her bearded clam to Ms. Cooper enthusiastically riding Mr. Faust’s German sausage. Although this semi skin flick was made on a very low budget, it failed to make a profit. But that doesn’t mean it won’t generate a lot of interest in your skinternational spank bank. Danke Schoen!
