Bark (2002)

Communication isn’t always the attempt of one person to share specific bits of information with another human being. Sometimes, something more primal and meaningful is imparted, such as is conveyed by the doggone wife whose fits of inchoate yapping give title to Bark (2002). What is this woman attempting to tell her husband and her family? Ruff, she exclaims. Ruff, ruff, ruff. The obvious conclusion is that she is informing her intimates that she has lost touch with the human condition and is retreating to a more basic form of canine interrelations. Her groom wants his old girl back, and his only chance to retrieve her may be through the ministrations of a sympathetic--and undeniably hot--veterinarian.
