Fans of Carry On, the long-running and infamous British movie series, are well-acquainted with the comedic, curvaceous charms of Barbara Windsor. She started out as the airheaded and ample Daphne Honeybutt in Carry On Spying (1964), a role Barbara was born to play. She teased and tarted her way through more than a dozen Carry On films and TV series, flaunting her scantily-clad body in Carry On Doctor (1967) and Carry On Matron (1972) and showing true (yet criminally brief) skin in Carry On Camping (1969), Carry On Again Doctor (1969), Carry On Henry (1971), Carry On Abroad (1972), Carry On Girls (1973). Her best nudity comes in the hilariously- and appropriately-titled Carry On Dick (1974) when she gives us a quick glimpse of both boobs. Another celebrated (and likewise fleeting) mam flash occurs in an unrelated flick, Not Now Darling (1973). Barbara had a robust and renowned career outside of the Carry Ons. She made her screen debut way back in 1954 in the family comedy The Belles of St. Trinian's. She went on to star in the film Sparrows Can't Sing (1963), for which she received a BAFTA Award nomination, and later appeared in the children's classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968). Her best known role, after those in the Carry Ons, is Peggy Mitchell in the soap opera EastEnders. Babs recently lent her talents to the films Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016). She passed away in 2020, but her lascivious legend will not be soon forgotten.
