Bad Timing (1980)

Bad Timing: A Sensual Obsession (1980) features Paul Simon's afro-domed ex-partner Art Garfunkel as an American research psychologist living in Vienna. He's hot for Theresa Russell, a wild child who loves to booze and bang everyone and anyone. When the movie opens she is in the hospital after trying to off herself, and the lurid story of their tawdry affair is played out in flashbacks that include ample nudity from tempting Theresa. Meanwhile, Harvey Keitel, as an inspector, suspects that there is more to this suicide attempt than first meets the eye. Both Garfunkel and Russell begged director Nicolas Roeg to let them quit the film; the intimacy and skin required were too much for these thespians to bare, but Roeg was convincing. So much so that he got the thirty-years-his-junior Theresa to marry him. Now that's a sexual obsession!
