Veneno (2020) is the biographical mini-series about the life of a famous trans woman named Cristina Ortiz Rodriguez, or as she was better known La Veneno (which means Poison in Spanish). She was a TV host and beloved LGBT hero in her native Spain where she often appeared on the late-night show Esta Noche Cruzamos el Mississippi from 1995-19997. She was a singer, performer, actress, and sex worker who originally hailed from Adra in Almeria, Spain. She passed away in 2016, so this series tells the wild and beautiful story of her life in a truly amazing way. This is a touching and lovely story that promotes believing in yourself the way that La Veneno did! Three different actresses play La Veneno and they are Isabel Torres, Daniela Santiago, and Jedet.
