WMAC Masters

Review

WMAC Masters was a corny kung-fu version of WWF Wrestling, where stuntpeople and actors (usually bad ones) would take on the roles of mystical martial artists. Touting such names as “Baby Doll” and “Turbo,” the boys and girls of WMAC Masters would compete for the “Dragon Star” on a regular basis. While at times it came off as a hackneyed morality play meant to teach young people good morals and values, things usually degenerated quickly into a good versus evil high-flyin’ smackdown! The show never really found an audience, since most people apparently preferred the cage matches and folding chair beatdowns of “real” wresting, and was cancelled in 1995. Keep an eye out for statuesque ass-kicker Bridgett Riley, who played Baby Doll on the show and went on to have a prosperous boxing career--including taking the IFBA bantamweight championship in 1998. We’d gladly let her kick our ass if we could get a piece of hers first!
