Okay, so. Mr. Skin has seen several versions of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol. There’s the one with Bill Murray. The one with Donald Duck. The one with Jim Carrey. The one with George C. Scott. In none of these is Tiny Tim’s mom naked. Vinette Robinson, however, gives us a different view of Mary Cratchit in the BBC and FX collab mini-series A Christmas Carol (2019). An English darling from Leeds who leads the way in being hot and talented, the actress began her career as a pre-teen, showing up in various TV series. She trained at the Webber-Douglas Acting School, and eventually landed her big adult break as Tracy Ellis in the mini-series Between the Sheets (2003) at the age of 22. Rumor has it she auditioned for the part of Queen Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, but it was given to Natalie Portman instead. But fear not, she did eventually make it into a galaxy far, far away as pilot Tyce in Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019). You can also find her in several popular British series, like Sherlock, where she played the recurring character Sergeant Sally Donovan from 2010-2014; as Liza Bahar in Black Mirror in 2016; and Rosa Parks in Doctor Who in 2018. She had starring roles as Rita in the mini-series Close to the Enemy (2016), and as Nicola Daniels in The A Word from 2016-2017.
