Veronica Russell is a burgeoning scream queen, having jumped in with two feet before the new millennium in the straight-to-video Zombie! vs. Mardi Gras (1999). That lead her to famed gore pioneer Herschell Gordon Lewis, who cast her in his sequel to the original gore masterpiece, which had also been helmed by him, Blood Feast 2 (2002). Lewis, no stranger to exploitation in all its charming shades, used Veronica as not merely a sponge for blood and guts, but a nude body to add balance to the exploitive mix. She’s since made appearances on the boob tube and other movies, but has yet to eclipse that bright pervformance.
