Vampire Academy (2022)

The Peacock Original Series Vampire Academy, which premiered on the streaming service at the tail end of the summer of 2022, is based on the book series of the same name by Richelle Mead which had previously been adapted to film back in 2014. While that flick aimed for a PG-13 teen audience, this adaptation goes a touch darker... and sexier! The series follows the students of St. Vladimir's Academy, an elite boarding school catering to the magical and mystical. The show's co-leads are Rose Hathaway (Sisi Stringer), a half-human half-vampire student learning how to battle vampires, and Lissa Dragomir (Daniela Nieves), a Romanian princess and Moroi, which is basically a phantom of a dead person out to seek revenge against those who wronged her. Together they will battle evil in all its many forms while also navigating the same old social hierarchy of high school! It took three episodes for the show to get some skin in the game, but thankfully Louisa Connolly-Burnham goes topless in the show's third episode before being feasted upon by some vampire hunk!
