Mexican sex starlet Susana Salvat forged a career for herself in the 1960s and ’70s, playing prostitutes and other sultry heroines in ripe melodramatic films. Sergio Véjar’s Una Vez en la noche (1970) is a textbook example. The title translates as Once During the Night, but you can bet that Salvat’s game for a long evening will involve multiple encounters.
