In The Station Agent (2003), a sad young man born with dwarfism (Peter Dinklage) moves to an empty train depot in rural New Jersey seeking escape after his only friend’s death. Trying to maintain a life of solitude, he is soon won over by a happy, humorous hot-dog vendor and an alluring artist (Patricia Clarkson) struggling with her own personal problems. When he develops a lusty relationship and begins panting with the perky-topped painter, will size ultimately matter?
