Review

A hitwoman comes out of retirement to put the kibosh on a child sex ring in the provocative made-for-TV thriller The Silencer (1992). Lynette Walden plays the lead Angelica, a leather-clad tough who can’t resist taking time out from her vigilante policing to screw the alley dwellers always scoping her curves. Amy Goldstein’s film takes on odd metaphysical dimensions in its exploration of an aloof figure who appears to control Angelica’s moves, but at root this film’s appeal is sparklingly simple––namely, watching Walden peel off her leather and boff like a bad girl.
