The Scandal (2026)

South Korea takes its own stab at adapting Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ notorious novel Les Liaisons dangereuses with this new Netflix series, setting the story during the Joseon dynasty. When Lady Cho Yun (Son Ye-jin)’s husband, Lord Yoo (Lee Ji-hoon), decides to take a concubine in order to produce an heir, she conspires with her cousin, aristocratic playboy Cho Won (Ji Chang-wook), to woo the young lady instead. Cho Yun and Cho Won have a long-simmering history, but instead of giving in to their desires, they move on after that contest to another callous game - seducing the chaste and wholesome Hui-yeon (Im Jin-ah aka Nana), whose intended husband passed away before they could seal the deal. It’s a tale that’s had many iterations, so it’s not much a spoiler to say Cho Won succeeds and we therefore get some peeks at Nana’s naked knockers and amazing ass, but The Scandal lives up to its name considering not many South Korean shows deliver the goods!
