A Suitable Boy (2020)

For India, 1947 was a pivotal year in its ancient history.  The good people of India, spiritually lead by a tiny man in glasses known as Gandhi, basically booted out one of the strongest empire in world history, the Brits, and became it's own sovereign nation again.  This story takes place on the subcontinent in their year of independence and spans through the early 1950s, following four very large families.  The main family at the heart of this sprawling story, the Mehras, are looking for an arraigned marriage for their youngest daughter, Lata (Tanya Maniktala), that will not just help her find "A Suitable Boy", so to speak, but also help their entire family out.  The problem with that is that Lata is a 19 year old student at the university and is not going to be easily influenced by her overbearing mother, her highly opinionated brother, or anyone else as she is forced to choose between multiple suitors in this series.  Other family members have plenty of subplots and drama as well in this mini-series that premiered on BBC One in 2021.  Luckily for us, there is a bit of insanely impressive skin to see from the busty Shahana Goswami, who gives us a solid peek at her honkers while getting busy with her man in episode 2.  Something about the girls in an Indian period piece wearing some classic lingerie that just hits on so many sexy notes to us!  Hopefully this "mini" series doesn't leave you with a mini in your pants because it is chocked full of sex appeal!
