The Ice Tower (2025)

We’re taken to a small village in a remote area of France in the 1970s, where teen orphan Jeanne (Clara Pacini) lives in a foster home and spends her time reading fairy tales, like Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen, to young Rose (Cassandre Louis Urbain). One day, Jeanne runs off, hitchhiking into town and finding shelter for the night in what she thinks is an abandoned building. But when she awakens, she discovers she’s actually on the set of a movie version of The Snow Queen, the very fairy tale she had just been reading. Mistaken for an extra, Jeanne meets Cristina Van Der Berg (Marion Cotillard), the diva-esque actress playing the title role, and is instantly entranced. Pretending to be a girl named Bianca that she saw at the local skating rink earlier, Jeanne gets taken under Cristina’s wing, given a better part in the film, and the two become closer and closer until their connection turns toxic. The ladies even share a few sapphic smooches, one of which grows increasingly rougher, so if that’s your thing, get ready to have a tower of your own growing in your pants!
