The biggest movies for the last few decades have come from comic books, and the Goth thriller The Crow (1994) was one of the first to start the trend. The story of a murdered man who comes back from the dead to avenge his death has become more famous for its star, Brandon Lee, son of martial arts star Bruce Lee, than for its story. Lee died accidentally when he was shot by blanks during the shooting of this film—no pun intended for once. Would the sequels have set the comic book movie craze in motion had Lee not died? Would he have matched, or possibly even eclipsed his famous father's level of fame? We can never know, but rather than dwell on what might have been, we can sit back and enjoy his tremendous work in The Crow. Lee plays Eric Draven, a rock singer who gets stabbed to death trying to fight off some Detroit thugs coming after his girlfriend (Sofia Shinas). When a crow lands on his grave, Eric is resurrected as The Crow, a self healing badass with a telepathic connection to the black birds. With vengeance on his mind, soon enough The Crow is tracking down and slaughtering the dudes who tried to put him six feet under. It's a dark movie to watch given Lee's death, but the mood of every dude can be brightened by the super-sexy Bai Ling, who exposes her super-sexy posterior in one scene. She's taking a shower with her back to the camera, and we get a zoom in on her uncovered rear. Seeing that thing on Bai Ling will lift your spirits watching The Crow!
