Review
The Believer (2001) takes the myth of the self-hating Jew to its bizarre conclusion when Ryan Gosland, a nice Jewish boy, becomes a neo-Nazi skinhead. Oy vey! Based on a true story, Gosland is provocative in his anti-Semitism as well as pathetic in his twisted hatred. The movie follows his disturbing downfall as he's consumed by this kooky conflict. But along the way he falls in love with the girlfriend of the KKK leader played by Billy Zane, the incredibly tasty Summer Phoenix. Adding to the confused proceedings, she wants to learn Hebrew topless, but he throws a shirt over her because her naked body is blasphemy before the holy Torah. Thankfully, Summer offers a clear view of her big boobs earlier in the flick when Gosland voyeuristically catches her banging Zane. When you see her jugs, you'll be a believer too.
