Born in South Africa, Sylvaine Strike took to acting and performing at a young age. She studied acting in Cape Town, before relocating to Paris when it seemed South Africa had given her everything it had to offer. She became known to American audiences when she played Dr. Katrina McKenzie in District 9 (2009). But fans were more impressed with her appearance on the Starz series Black Sails. Playing a prostitute named Netta, we see Netta get naughty with one Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard. We see Sylvaine run her fingers through Blackbeard’s black chest hair while we enjoy a strategically nudity-concealing, head-to-toe shot of her rocking bod. It’s when Strike gets out of bed that we get a glimpse of her treasure chest. Pirates are always searching for booty, it looks like Blackbeard definitely found some in this scene.
